AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Documentary Festival and Whole Foods Announce Filmmaker Grants
The AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Documentary Festival in Silver Spring, MD announced today that for the second consecutive year they will partner with Whole Foods Market, a leading retailer of natural and organic foods, to provide grants to filmmakers seeking funding for documentary works.
Two grants of $25,000 each will be awarded to documentary feature filmmakers at varying stages of development - from conception through completion.
The online grant application process will be open from March 21 through May 4 and selected grant candidates will be notified by June 11. The Whole Foods Market/AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs “Green Grant” will be presented at the 2012 AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Festival Awards Ceremony on June 23.
